We’ve teamed up with the charity Refuge to build a better world

Landmark Group (UK) Ltd, which includes Landmark Lofts, Landmark Architects, Landmark Heating and Landmark LLP, is thrilled to announce its recent partnership with the charity Refuge.

Refuge is a charity that seeks to help women and children suffering from domestic violence. Its network of safe houses provides emergency accommodation for women and children when they are most in need and have nowhere else to turn.

To help raise awareness for this inspiring charity, we’re donating 50p for every ‘like’ on our Facebook pages across the Group.

Refuge’s mission is to create a world in which domestic violence is not tolerated or ignored and in which women and children can safely live. It works hard to raise awareness and get the message across that domestic violence must not be tolerated.

In addition to a network of refuge centres across the country, Refuge also has a number of services that are designed to help women and children in a range of circumstances:

  • A Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline
  • Independent domestic violence advocacy
  • Child support workers
  • Outreach services
  • Culturally specific services
  • The Gaia Centre
  • Awareness campaigns and lobbying

Since its foundation in 1971, Refuge has helped countless women and children to escape domestic violence and establish new lives. Marie, who left Scotland with her two children to escape a violent relationship in which she was severely beaten on a weekly basis, first contacted Refuge in 2003 because she didn’t feel safe enough to leave her East Sussex home unaccompanied. Refuge’s outreach team provided Marie with emotional support and advice and helped her to regain control of her future. Refuge has a number of other stories on their website to inspire women who are suffering from domestic violence to contact Refuge and set about rebuilding their lives.

So, if you haven’t already, follow the links below and ‘like’ each page and help us to spread the word about this great charity!

If you would like to make an additional donation you can do so online or by calling 020 7395 7713. Alternatively, visit Refuge’s website to see what other ways you can get involved.

If you are suffering from domestic violence or know someone who is, get help now.
